Rosso di Contrada

The vineyards planted by us in the Buonivini district, with the chromaticity of the land, exposure and different slopes, make up the Rosso di Contrada. To better understand the potential of each vineyard, we have always vinified and aged the wines separately, in order to be able to interpret every single parcel, to enhance the characteristics that distinguish it. It is vinified in steel tanks and aged in barrels for at least a year, followed by a long refinement in the bottle.

ATTENTION: The 2017 harvest of Rosso di Contrada is produced by an assembly of the individual vineyards with a composition that changes every year according to the vintage. It is our best expression of the Buonivini district, all in a single wine. In the 2017 harvest we completed our parceling process for each individual vineyard, producing in addition to the Rosso di Contrada six different "crus". Vinifying and refining them in a different way, we are able to enhance the unique characteristics and appreciate the many nuances that Nero d'Avola is able to have thanks to the land most suited to the wine. The expression of the individual vineyards is subdivided into six crus:

  • Rosso di Contrada "don Paolo"
  • Rosso di Contrada "don Pasquale"
  • Rosso di Contrada "coniglio"
  • Rosso di Contrada "lenza lunga"
  • Rosso di Contrada "cozzu parrino"
  • Rosso di Contrada "conca"
